Another posting from last year!

And here is a another post that I found fun to read back on too!

And now look, I am 9 weeks away (or even less!) from meeting number six! Wow! How life changes, but yet stays the same!

So this post is kind of funny isn't it!!

I was reading back in my blog, and this is what I read there!

I have always loved the works of Marc Chagall. They just speak to me. I am on a quest to find my favourites to post. When I see his work, I am deeply moved. I love how he captures the womanly form, and the hiddend images that float around. Sort, of like preparing for a new life to enter the family. Aren't they beautful?!

Hello Week 30 (and 1/7)

10 weeks left!

From babycenter.com:
Your baby's a bit more than 15 1/2 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
****************************
Well hello, to week 30+! I cannot believe I am in the home stretch, the final trimester, the final part of this pregnancy journey! Today, I feel that it is going by way to fast! I am really enjoying this pregnancy. Only, one thing looming over my head. That would be the 3 hour Glucose Tolerance Test that I have go do. I am planning on doing that this week! I have to fit it in, but with a busy life...but also the health of this baby and myself. That is why I have to do this!
I don't think my belly has changed that much. My face is getting rounder, as are my arms, and my bum. But, hey. What can I do? I am doing my best. I am giving the best to this little life inside of me. I am excited and scared to meet this last baby. I wonder who it is? What this little life will look like? Will this baby be the ONE to have BLUE eyes? I bet not, but one can dream right?!
I had another girl dream. I was nursing a little girl, with a white dress on. She was adorable. I am still going with girl here. Cliff and Cameron say boy still. Claire, Carly and Catie are still saying girl. I am with them lol.
The movement of this little one, are very strong at times! I went for my pedicure and waxing yesterday, and I got a HUGE jab when I was sitting there all relaxed. Another time this baby moves is when Cliff and I FINALLY get into bed. Baby gets all rowdy in there! And, again this morning! A lot of movement! Stronger and harder movement than before that is for sure. I am truly enjoying all of the baby action going on!
I still have a lot to do, but will manage to get it all done! It is all good stuff that needs to get done. I mean, what is better than preparing for a new life to enter the family? There is nothing more exciting! I have booked my pregnancy/newborn/family photos now. I am excited to capture this belly/pregnant form one more time. A photo or two to capture one the six of the best moments in my life besides Cliff and my wedding day. The birth of our kids have been such an amazing experience. I find that each and every time is just as exciting as the first! I could never ever get sick of this stage of my life.
The crazy thing is that, the 10 weeks left are to my due date of December 1st. I have never in all of the other five kids gone to my due date. So, in theory. It could be a lot earlier. My earliest baby was Claire who surprized us at week 36, and then Cameron and Carly who surprized us at week 37. Caroline in week 38, and Catie who was the latest at week 39 on the nose.
I will be 36 weeks at my cousins wedding on November 3rd. So, who knows?! So exciting!!

Bye Bye Week 29!

29 weeks and 6 days

And, I threw up into the kitchen sink this morning. Go figure. This baby HAS to be a girl! They always make me throw up. NEVER this late into the pregnancy though. This is the 5th time now I believe...yuck. Now, I need to try to eat something. My stomach muscles hurt from the heaving.

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you:

The day you deliver, outside will be slightly overcast. Your baby will arrive in the evening. After a labor lasting approximately 2 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have light brown eyes and a lot of hair.

My Labour Predictor

I filled in my answers into a labour predictor quiz at Just Mommies, and here is the result:

Get your bags packed early just in case you need them. Make sure your partner has a phone available when he's away because this baby just might come early. We predict your baby will come 2-3 weeks early. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 6.7 pounds and that your labor will be about 10 hours long.

This is for entertainment purposes only.

Baby Mine

Here is a sweet little video...for my sweet little six xo

Baby Mine

I usually have some sort of song, that is very meaningful to me when I am pregnant. This morning this song pops into my head, and I had to listen to it. Baby, this is for you.

Baby Mine by Bette Midler:

Baby mine, don't you cry. Baby mine, dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart, never to part, baby of mine.

Little one, when you play, pay no heed what they say. Let your eyes sparkle and shine, never a tear, baby of mine.

If they knew all about you, they'd end up loving you, too. All those same people who scold you, what they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your hair down to your toes, you're not much, goodness knows. But, you're so precious to me, sweet as can be, baby of mine.

Week 29 and 3 days

I asked Cliff (and Amy) to draw a picture of me, but the photo I took of my sisters drawing did not download for some reason. Anyways, I will check around again for it. This was done on Saturday at 29 weeks. What do you think...pretty flattering eh! Gotta love my hubby.

This I took myself today. My belly does not even fit in the frame!

I had my regular doctors appointment yesterday. I put on 1 pound, bringing up my grand total to 21 pounds. In ALL of the other pregnancies I have put on anywhere from 40-50 pounds. Must be because I am A LOT busier these days. I could tell this week that baby is head down, and my doc confirmed this fact. Baby is head down, and curves around like a 'C' and toes and feet at the top...how fitting!

Heart rate of baby was a strong 154 (nice and high) and my urine and blood pressure were great. I have to go for my 3 hour GTT next weekend. I am confident I do not have Gestational Diabetes. This means 3/6 pregnancies I have had to take the 3 hour test. My fingers are crossed! I feel great, and hope I continue to feel this way for the rest of the pregnancy.

My next appointment will be mid October where I will be closer to 35 weeks already!

Who are you, and what to call you?

Well, we FINALLY came up with two names that we love for this baby. Two names, because we do not know what we are having.

So, we came up with two really nice ones! They sound good when we say them! We had no trouble with a boy name, but coming up with a girl name has proven to be very difficult. I think we have looked at every hard C name on the whole Internet. FINALLY an name has jumped out at us. And, perhaps we will stray from tradition a bit. Hmmmm. I bet you are all wondering!! As you all know, I truly feel this baby is a girl. Cliff is still holding out for a boy. As is Cameron and a couple of the girls.

You will all have to wait a bit longer! Isn't this so fun!! Just over 11 weeks to go to the due date then the baby will be here!

ta ta

I failed

The one hour glucose test I took on Saturday. So, off to the three hour tour (I mean test) next weekend. This is feeling all too familiar. I had to do this with my pregnancy with Cameron and Caroline. And now, this baby. I am sure I will be fine...oh well. I can sit for 3 hours and listen to the Ipod and read. Now, how often do I get that chance? Not very often.

So, I will just go with it. If I fail, I fail. Here is to hoping. My doc said the initial numbers were lower than with Caroline. So, I am sure all is well.

Week 28 - 12 weeks to go

Welcome to Week 28!

From babycenter.com:

By this week, your baby weighs a little over 2 pounds and measures almost 15 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can open and close her eyes, which now sport lashes. This movement is more of a reflexive blink than a deliberate opening and closing, but it won't be long before she's batting those beauties at you.

------------------
Well, here I am. Week 28. Not much to report. Last morning I got up at 5:15, and headed to the local lab to have my RH factor blood work, and took my lovely orange dextrose drink for the Glucose Tolerance Test. Sat for one hour, and then had my two tubes of blood taken. The nice thing about yesterday morning is that my friend Lisa also pregnant with her sixth (and due 4 days after me) was there doing the same test. So, we could sit and chat for the hour. That was fun!
My next doctors appointment is coming up next week. I will get the results from those tests, and then get my Rhogham shot. And my regular prenatal work up. That is all.
I feel pretty good, on most days quite energetic. I get a lot of swelling at night. But so far, I have yet to feel the last trimester issues that come about. Except I find it is harder to sleep at night because I toss and I turn and then I have to pee.
Oh, and I got a new hair do! That always feels good. Soon a pedicure.

Shot in the bum

Well, at my last appointment, we forgot to talk about my Rhogham shot. Which should be done at 28 weeks. Which is next week for me. So, I called into the office this morning. They will have the requisition and the prescription ready for me at the pharmacy with Cliff's prescription. Now, I will have to fit in blood work, and get my glucose done probably all at the same time. Crazy times lol! I will get the shot done just after my 28th week.

Just a little bit more to add to my plate! Thankfully I remembered. Thankfully I have done this before lol.

And just a little bit of my pregnancy trivia. This will be my 12 shot in the bum, and after the baby will be my 13th. Am I a sucker for punishment or what?! Well, these kids are worth it!

Welcome to the FINAL Trimester EVER!!

This was my last pregnancy with Caroline around 26 weeks for comparison

This was the same pregnancy around 29 weeks with Caroline

This is me at 27 weeks (first day of third trimester) with baby number six!

I think my belly looks the same as the other one...suddenly my chest disappears and I grow a humongous belly. 13 weeks to go until my due date! Ahhh...look at that glow of pregnancy!

Hello, Cathy! taken from babycenter.com

Your baby is really starting to get big. This week he weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14.4 inches long with his legs extended. He now sleeps and wakes at regular intervals. He may suck his fingers, and although his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with assistance — if he were born prematurely. Chalk up any rhythmic movement you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on.

_________

Well, I am am in the home stretch, and I cannot believe how fast, yet how slow the pregnancy has gone. I cannot believe that in probably 12 weeks a baby will be in our arms and in our hearts again! I cannot believe we are expecting our sixth miracle.

I have been feeling good. Tired, and thanks to my hubby he gives me the weekend to sleep in a bit. I have been really needing that, so thank you Cliff. I have been getting a lot of swelling in my legs and ankles. But, really nothing else to complain about. When I am hungry, I am HUNGRY. Feed me now. I still gag on my tooth brush, and I still feel sick after I take my prenatal vitamins. Nothing there has changed. Baby has been quite active, but nothing I cannot handle. This baby feels like a mellow baby, which is fine. I am enjoying these movements, and so is Cliff. The kids are excited to meet the baby too. We always talk about who may be in there! And we talk about the names, and we try to guess. Cliff still is saying boy, I say girl.

Last night, I had a dream that I was at a baby shower, and in that baby shower everything was PINK!! not blue, which further makes me think this baby is indeed a girl. I think guessing is really fun! I cannot wait to see who is in here.
